20F too high unsure whether that’s a hard-or software issue, but even during the Great Freeze, the cam app cheerily insisted it was a balmy 10F when our pipes nearly froze. Not an issue for me as I use the trail cam for backyard birding, but might be useless to others.Ī minor quibble: the ambient temperature sensor displays approx. Unless your PHONE is within 10 ft of the trail cam (even if your router IS within 10 ft), you can not remote-access it. the built-in WiFi connects ‘only’ to your phone, not your router. Not ideal when you’re logging on live to have more control over what’s getting filmed (for example because you KNOW there’s an animal about to cross the camera) it takes 45 secs to a minute to log onto the app, which might close the window of opportunity for you to get your shot the app crashes frequently when you try to scroll through lots of photos it loads 30 at a time but often shuts down altogether and you have to reboot and reconnect it. This app is solid intuitive to use and providing all necessary means to live-watch your trail cam and/or access photos remotely.

I wrote to the manufacturer in China and they gave me a number of suggestions on how to make it work, but I had already done those things about three times. The infrared sensor had nothing to do with it, because it would record me at night, but none of the deer that I had seen out there and there are a lot. after many repeated attempts at readjustment of all of the features, and, including making sure the batteries were good, and the SD card was formatted, the only thing it would record is me walking in front of it. shortly there after it stopped recording videos of the deer that I am trying to capture, and even though everything was correctly set in the camera, it would never record any more wildlife.
For the first month, the camera seemed to work fine, and recorded quite a number of videos for me.
